• How to become a CSIA Instructor
• Have a positive attitude
• Be a good parallel skier and meet the age requirements (minimum 15 years of age)

• Once you have successfully completed the course, you will be provided with a membership package and the proper tools to enhance your newly learned skills

The Level One Certification
A 4 day course designed to introduce skiers to CSIA (Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance) skiing and teaching. Learn how to provide a vibrant mountain experience while developing abilities for beginner to intermediate skiers.

Expectations of a Level One Instructor
The CSIA Level One Certification course presents skiers with the skills to become qualified instructors. Upon successful completion of the course, Level One Instructor’s have the ability to:

• Provide a vibrant mountain experience for all skiers
• Set the goals and objectives of a beginner ski lesson
• Plan the organizational needs of a ski lesson
• Understand beginner skills and the Alpine Responsibility Code
• Communicate well during a ski lesson
• Demonstrate an open mind and to be objective while giving a ski lesson
• Have a positive attitude towards ski teaching
• Understand the basics of the Guest Experience, Child psychology and growth and development
